Debut is building an entirely new bank from the ground up. We are working together with our customers to build the banking features customers need to save, grow and spend their money in the best way possible. You can think of Debut as a baby bank in the making.

We offer many of the things a big bank can do, such as everyday accounts, debit cards, spending history, etc., but are required to meet strict guidelines regarding the management of funds, financial data and user information to be called a bank.

Currently, Debut is not a registered bank under the Banking (Prudential Supervision) Act, though it is our intention to grow and eventually obtain our registration. Investments with us are not currently supervised by the Reserve Bank of New Zealand.
