Adding money to your Debut account is straightforward:
Easily transfer funds from your another bank account into Debut for use with your card, helping you manage expenses, follow budgets, and save more.
Online top-ups are possible through Account2Account transfers, making your money available for use with your card.
To add money:
Open the Debut App and select "Add Money."
Pick "Online Bank Transfer," enter your top-up amount, choose your bank, log in, select the account you're transferring from, review, and confirm.
Note: Some payments can take up to 2 hours to be processed, but generally show up instantaneously.
For manual transfers:
These allow you to move money from another bank account you own. They might take a few hours to appear, or longer on weekends, but offer more flexibility.
In the app, choose "Manual Bank Transfer" to find your transfer details (Payee Name, Account Number, and reference) for the transfer.
The ability to send money directly to other accounts and facilitate transactions between Debut users is on the coming soon to the app.
Why some deposits may take longer:
Bank Processing Times: Depending on who you bank with and when you make your deposit, your bank may take a little longer to release the funds for the deposit.
Identity Mismatch: If your name on your bank's account is different from the name used on your Debut account or your ID, you may encounter a delay or your deposit could be rejected. If the name on your account is different, you may need to contact Debut Support and provide proof that the account belongs to you.
Depositing from a non-nominated account: If you deposit from a different account than one you used previously, you could experience a delay or your deposit may be rejected. If you need to update your nominated bank account, contact Debut Support. You will need proof of ID to verify the account belongs to you.
